In a business world where the word entrepreneur is much misused, Chris Lightbody exemplifies what a real entrepreneur is.
He’s a serial investor in opportunity; someone who can use his proven experience, skill and business acumen to spot investment opportunities in people and businesses that will ultimately benefit all stakeholders.
Success is key to Chris’s strategy, and if he can be involved in something that can be a success and he can add value, then that’s what drives him forward.
Sales-driven and results-oriented, Chris’s skill is in analysing where businesses can improve, whether that’s overall strategy, marketing, people, product or financial.
Chris started his career in sales, breaking records for the company who employed him as a sale rep. He then become responsible for expanding a patient transport business, something he did beyond expectation.
Chris exited that successful business and launched his own, growing it from concept to a firm that had more than 130 vehicles and 240 staff before realising his exit strategy.
He is now at the helm of a number of business, including UKAASH, which provides new and used ambulances for auction, sale or hire, and First4Training Solutions, which provides approved training for QCF (NVQ) and Apprenticeships, primarily into the health and social care arena.
Chris is also a shareholder in Mansfield Van Hire, and Gallant Air conditioning, which is developing new products that will revolutionise the market.
Together with wealth management specialist Daniel C Hayes, Chris has co-founded Longbow, a premier Midlands-based group of like-minded successful entrepreneurs who are pooling their skills, experience and knowledge to link communities, people and concepts to funding streams.
